The hit combination of Wii Sports and the Wii Remote brought golf swings and tennis serves into people’s homes. Now Nintendo turns the living room into a fitness center for the whole family with Wii Fit and the Wii Balance Board. Family members will have fun getting a “core” workout, and talking about and comparing their results and progress on a new channel on the Wii Menu.
Body Mass Index (BMI): A weight evaluation based on a ratio of weight to height.
Aerobic Exercise: 10-minute exercises that are designed to get the heart pumping.
Muscle Conditioning: Controlled motions using arms, legs and other body parts.
Yoga Poses: Classic poses that focus on balance and stretching.
Balance Games: Fun activities, such as ski jumping and heading soccer balls, that challenge the player’s overall body balance.

rediculous?
jasonh — Thu, 03/13/2008 - 12:19This is rediculous. Seriously, go to the gym. I'm interested to see how the balance games work.
I agree completely... I
Virago — Fri, 03/14/2008 - 14:19I agree completely... I actually love the idea of being able to workout at home, but not when it means standing on this platform and leaving side to side lol. DDR is an amazing workout, and boxing would be perfect if they could only make a realistic input for it (wii boxing is retarded imo). I read an article not long ago that talked about two input devices that will be the future of video games, one that scanned your brain to detect several states of mind, another was an infrared camera that was used to track all motion, even down to one's finger tips!. Now THAT would be a great way to simulate a workout, a game that would even know when you were pushing yourself (from the brain's feedback) and tell you to get your ass in gear! lol
Potentional to work
Bipolar Monkey — Mon, 03/17/2008 - 20:29Wii Fit absolutely has the potential to work just as well as DDR. All Wii Fit is is calastetics with something to associate your movements with. It's a brilliant business move by Nintendo, since you can do everything in the game free without every going to the gym...Hell I'm fully aware of this and still plan to buy it. It gives an RPG aspect to working out, unlocking new mode, comparing BFI from previous weeks, etc. Sure it's stupid, but it gets the geek in me excited to work out, so kodus to Nintendo for that.
Wii and Game Chair
MJB — Fri, 03/21/2008 - 20:23Can you imagine if the Game Chair and the Wii could be hooked up togather. You could use the Wii to do first person shooter actions and drive around using the Game Chair. Now that should get everyone's inner geek going.
