I would rent it. You can
Bipolar Monkey — Thu, 03/20/2008 - 17:45I would rent it. You can beat the single/co-op story in about 4 hours.
I was extremely excited about this game when it was first announced, but sadly disappointed once I started playing it. It has gorgeous graphics, but some extremely poor story-telling. There were levels and content cut from the final game, but mentioned/shown in the cut-scenes which create a horrible disconnect and holes in the story that leave you going, "what the hell just happened?"
I had so much hope for the game, and it has the potential to be a killer-app but I would wait for a sequel. The gameplay is fun, but gets old quickly. Multiplayer is good, and I would recommend it only if it is your main reason for wanting to play the game.
***SPOILER ALERT*****
You don't even get to fight the final boss! You work your way through the entire last level to get to him, only to have him die in a cutscene as soon as you reach him, and then the credits roll, WFT?! Talk about a brutal ending, you never even fire a shot at him.
lol that does sound
Virago — Thu, 03/20/2008 - 18:58lol that does sound brutal... I really hope EA doesn't destroy Battlefield as well because it's my favorite series and modern combat on Xbox 360 was amazing! I was excited about this game as well but it just didn't look like they were making the most of having two players working together.
